SUMMER ORGANIZATION MUST HAVES

Spring cleaning might be over, but it’s not too late to get your house organized and in tip-top shape before the summer ends. Organizing and decluttering is one of those healthy-habits I really try to stay on top of from season to season. Knowing what I have and where it is helps me lead an easier, less wasteful lifestyle. And I don’t know about y’all, but for me, the saying, “cluttered space, cluttered mind” is REAL. So today I’m sharing my summer organization must haves and more tips on how I keep a tidy home.

Summer days are hot and busy. So, spending hours or an entire weekend organizing is sometimes the last thing anyone wants to do. But summer days are also longer, which means more daylight to get things done! So create a list and make your home projects more attainable by setting bite-sized goals and taking it one space at a time.

Over the weekend, I made it a point to spend 30 minutes organizing our laundry room. Getting rid of our collection of misfit socks, switching out flimsy hangers, upgrading our laundry basket, etc. Pro tip: I love using baskets and bins to corral or hide items – keeping everything organized, pretty, and still accessible.

Next on my list: our outdoor space/garage. I recently got these large storage bags from The Container Store, which will be perfect for storing our patio cushions and outdoor pillows when the season is over.
