POPPY'S PRETTY PINK NURSERY

Poppy’s pretty pink nursery is finally finished! Her sweet nursery has become my favorite room of the house, without a doubt. I love to come in here and organize her clothes and wait patiently for her arrival. It won’t be too much longer until she’s here in my arms! When we moved in, I knew this room would become the nursery once we were ready to start our family. And I’m so excited to see how it has turned out. As soon as we found out it was a girl, I knew exactly the nursery I wanted to design. I always imagined something soft, pretty, and lots of PINK, of course! I had so much fun designing and decorating this space and I hope you love it too!

DESIGN DETAILS

For Poppy’s pretty pink nursery, a lot of time and thought went into sourcing each piece. I’m so happy with how everything turned out, so here you’ll find my thought process behind each design detail!

I was pretty set on doing wallpaper with shiplap wainscoting after falling in love with this floral wallpaper from Sanderson years ago. I knew it had to be used in my house somewhere, and if you’ve been here for a while… You know I’m not afraid to wallpaper anything and everything! We chose the Claret/Olive colorway in this floral wallpaper, which incorporates such pretty, soft hues. And for the pink trim paint, we used “Belle of the Ball” by Behr. It was the perfect match against the flowers in the wallpaper!

When it came to choosing nursery furniture, I knew I wanted to go with non-toxic furniture. And I instantly fell in love with this slipcover glider and crib from Million Dollar Baby. We went with the Newton breathable crib mattress as well! (Use my code madison_c50 for $50 off!).  The floral crib sheet is from Solly Baby. And the scalloped crib skirt is from Pottery Barn Kids, as well as the pink blackout bow valence!

And to tie in our blue Jane Chest from Gabby which we are using as a changing table, we went with this stunning blue wool rug from Annie Selke! One of my favorite places to find high-quality rugs! We chose this white scalloped mirror for above the changing table, this light fixture, and Poppy artwork as an ode to her name!
