Justin and I always love to explore new places but after our honeymoon, we quickly realized that there is still sooo much we want to see and do. From that moment forward, we made a pact to take every single chance we could to travel more often. So with a long weekend on the horizon, we jumped at the opportunity to spend a long weekend in Beaufort & Charleston, SC for 4th of July. A quick trip, just about 6 hours from our home in TN.

We spent the first half of our trip in Beaufort and stayed at The Beaufort Inn – a boutique hotel in the heart of their downtown right on the coast. Full of charm and character, we had so much fun exploring this historic town, watching the fireworks from Parris Island, and learning about the town’s history. The accommodations at the Inn were nothing short of lovely… with the oh-so-inviting porch and interior draped in stunning wallpaper – The Beaufort Inn made my little interior designer heart sing from the moment we arrived.

And for the last half of our trip, we made our way to one of our favorite cities: Charleston. We come here about twice a year – and with Beaufort and Charleston being so close to each other, we just couldn’t resist an opportunity to spend more time in this charming town. It’s to the point where we can easily navigate the city and just relax here without any stress of not knowing where to go, stay, or eat. This time we stayed at the Elliot’s House Inn in downtown Charleston – full of amazing restaurants and shopping nearby.

With Charleston, SC being surrounded by water, we planned for a beach day to Sullivan’s Island to soak up some sun and sand. For our beach day, I packed this cute one-piece and this big floppy hat to combat those harsh Southern rays – paired with these comfy shorts, some slip-on sneakers, and this straw bag to carry all my beach day essentials like this blue and white towel, and sunscreen of course. You guys know Nordstrom Rack and Hautelook are some of my favorite places to find the best items at amazing prices, so of course when we booked this trip, I went straight to their website to find some new threads for our long weekend away.
