Whether you’re single, in a relationship, or have plans with your friends – ensure your Valentine’s day is more than just dinner and a movie this year! Don’t get me wrong… I love a good, ole fashion dinner and a movie kind of date night, but Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to switch things up!

Keep reading for 5 Valentine’s Day date ideas to keep your night free of the dreaded, “What should we do?” question!

No. 1. – Ice Skating

Justin and I went ice skating for the first time together just the other week and it was so much fun! It had been a year or two since I’ve gone but I pretty much grew up ice skating (along with every other winter activity), so getting back on the ice was like riding a bike…for me anyway… Justin was cracking me up – I have NEVER seen him be bad at anything until watching him ice skate, y’all. Seriously… it’s almost frustrating when someone is literally good at everything. So you can bet that I won’t be letting him live this one down for a while.

So it’s safe to say this is an eventful option for a Valentine’s Day date – try it! You won’t regret it!

No. 2 – Karaoke

Now this Valentine’s Day date idea isn’t for the faint of heart… I may not be the best singer, but I love to karaoke with my gal pals or my fiance and his friends! And what’s a better way to bond than harmonizing over a love duet?

No. 3 – A Comedy Show

Spend Valentine’s Day in a fun setting like a comedy show! I think laughing together and cackling all night would be a date well done, don’t you? This would also be a great Valentine’s Day date idea for friends, or newly-coupled couple’s wanting a fun, yet lower-pressure night!

No. 4 – Plan a Day Full of Wellness & R&R

Nothing screams peace & happiness quite like treating yourself, taking it easy, and following it up with a night of pampering. Take advantage of all those Valentine’s Day specials and book a yoga class followed by a spa treatment or massage. Heck, stay at home in your pjs and get takeout (that’s our kind of Valentine’s Day date night!)– use Valentine’s Day as an excuse to catch up on some much needed R&R.

No. 5 – Make a weekend out of it!

Who said V-day has to be a one-day thing? Take a long weekend to celebrate L-O-V-E – just the two of you. I love traveling with Justin, especially if it’s somewhere we’ve never been. It’s so much fun navigating a new city together and finding places you want to come back to. We’ll also take any opportunity for a weekend getaway!
